SAFETY
Pregnancy, newborn and baby safety is the top priority in our studio. Props, gowns, fabrics and studio are meticulously cleaned and sanitized between every session.
For the mamas:
Your body is growing a miracle, and it is our job to keep you and that little miracle safe during your maternity session. Lizzy McMillan has extensive experience and training in safely posing and photographing expecting mamas. Additionally, we ensure you feel comfortable and safe throughout your maternity photography session.
For the babies:
Our team is trained in infant CPR, and we take great pride in being experts in newborn and baby safety, posing, and handling infants. No photograph is EVER worth risking a baby’s safety. We work creatively to capture images while ensuring your littlest treasures are save and loved throughout the session. Image composites {see below} are utilized to create adorable images and maintaining safety.

Lastly, it is important to point out that due to our extensive work with multiples and NICU babies, our entire team is up to date with all vaccines, including the Tdap (Pertussis/Whooping Cough) vaccine. We absolutely will not take a chance when it comes to the health of your newborn. We maintain a strict “wellness policy” and will reschedule if needed.
**Please be sure that anyone handling your baby has received the Pertussis Vaccine.

BEFORE YOUR SESSION: PLANNING + COLLABORATION
At Momento Studios, we want you to feel prepared and at ease when the day of your session arrives. We The set ups/gowns are planned and prepared prior to your session based off of what we talk about during the initial consultation via phone. If you have seen a prop or pose that your particularly love please let Momento Studios know before your session.
DURING YOUR STUDIO SESSION:
If you are bringing older siblings don’t stress! The Parent Lounge at Momento Studios provides several fun options for big brothers and sisters! In addition to a television with children’s options, we have legos, books, blocks and a box of miscellaneous toys.
Additionally, Momento Studios is located very close to the Mesa Library, Mesa Arts Center and the I.D.E.A. Museum.
Parents and siblings are treated to an array of snacks and beverages, a couch that reclines for napping, as well as wi-fi and a TV with Netflix. Momento Studios invites you to rest, relax or bring your laptop and catch up on work.
DURING YOUR OUTDOOR SESSION:
Outdoor sessions are scheduled 90-minutes before sunset to ensure the most gorgeous light. Lizzy McMillan has spent countless hours scouring the Valley in search of stunning locations and options for your outdoor portrait sessions. After booking your session, we will discuss your vision and select the perfect location.
We arrive with water, bug-spray and a pop-up changing tent {for maternity sessions}. Your comfort during an outdoor session is important!
Arizona weather can be unpredictable at times, and Lizzy McMillan will work with you to reschedule or find alternatives if needed.
AFTER YOUR SESSION: PORTRAIT REVEAL + ORDERING APPOINTMENT
At the end of your session, Momento Studios will schedule your Portrait Reveal appointment, where you will view and select your images for ordering. The Portrait Reveal is scheduled for 10-14 days after your session.
Lizzy McMillan will hand select the most beautiful images from your session, and lightly edit them your Portrait Reveal. At this appointment, Lizzy McMillan will work with you to select which timeless treasures you love and want to decorate your home.
The Portrait Reveal is a custom experience designed to help you get the most out of your photographs.
This is not a high-pressure sales appointment. Quite the opposite in fact! Many photographers choose to dump your digital files into an online gallery or USB drive and end the experience there. This leaves you to figure out printing, ordering and displaying your portraits on your own.
Your experience at Momento Studios is different.
Lizzy McMillan believes the artwork we create with you at Momento Studios is beautiful and unique, and she is dedicated to ensuring our full-service photography experience leaves you with gorgeous imagery that is displayed in your home, not lost on a hard drive or USB!
AFTER YOUR ORDER: RETOUCHING + PRINTING
After you select your favorite images, Lizzy will hand-edit your portraits to complete perfection and prepare for printing. Your artwork will be printed on archival paper and products by the best professional labs in the United States and Italy.
Your art is then hand-packaged by Lizzy McMillan before delivery for a truly full-service portrait experience. Orders are available within 1-3 weeks after final payment and can be picked up at Momento Studios, or shipped to your home.
